A few weeks ago, we had one of those weeks in our house where everything seemed to break.

At first it was just frustrating. Then it became almost comical.
We’d be standing in the kitchen holding our breath because — sure enough — something glass would hit the floor. The dogs even got used to us ushering them outside while we swept up pieces, trying to keep them safe from flying shards.

In just one week, we broke two glass cups, one glass plate, one glass dish… and yes, even a photo frame.
Every single person in our family accidentally broke something within those seven days.

Life with three boys and one tired mom means things breaking isn’t unusual. But one moment stayed with me.

One of my boys was walking down the hallway when his hand slipped and knocked over a photo frame. It shattered. And in that moment — already carrying more stress than I realized — I reacted more strongly than I wanted to.
